This is awesome! Hopefully it will be it's own sidestory that the creators of the anime make instead of it being a story from the manga. I would like to see what the creators come up with for a movie. The timespan is long enough, almost a year from now! So it's definitly going to take some time and too early for any information about it right now. Sigh.

I'm sure it'll be like the DBZ, YYH, Sailor Moon, and One Piece movies: it won't be part of the actual storyline.

As long as it has the whirlwind technique and Summoning-no-jitsu, I will be very fine with it. Just don't become a movie with pure fan service like Ranma movie 2.

I'm guesing it'll be a short movie, probably pinned onto another anime movie, kinda like what Digimon had done.

Doubtful, Naruto has a large enough fanbase and enough to work with for a full length one. I'd expect it to be about 75-80 minutes.

*nod* i agree -- quite a few anime movies (based off of TV series) tend to be 30 minute things, and so they appear alongside 2-3 other movies...
It could be 60-90 minutes of pure Naruto...
.... but I'm much more inclined to believe that it'll be a short film mashed together with 2-3 other shorts.
Digimon, One Piece, Digi Charat, Slayers... they've all had mini-movies like that. I don't see how this one would necessarily be any different.

Maybe so, but that doesn't really mean anything when it comes to anime movies. I'd say One Piece is just as popular and it's first movie wasn't even an hour long, and it's second or third movie was a double feature with a Digimon movie. It really depends on what the producers want to do with it and it could easily go either way.

Ah, but Cookie was wrong on Slayers, although there is one like that, Slayers Preminum, (a great short romp), there are several full length movies (which really aren't that good).

i never said that there weren't full length movies for slayers. heck, i own an import (rental-okay) vhs of slayers great. cost me $70. :p
likewise, you could also state that my inclusion of Digimon was wrong, because of Digimon's hour-long "Bokura no Wargame".
i'm just pointing out that all of those series have _short_ films.

i absolutely love this show and i can't wait to see how the "movie" will turn out to be. the producers sure have a lot to live up to.

Even if it'll be a short movie or a long movie, I know it will keep me anxious to see! :D

According to my friend, it's more likely "Daikatsugeki! Yukihime Ninpouchou Datteba yo!", which means something about "furious fight" and "Yukihime (Snow White) ninja scroll"...
