This is a surprise.
They cut out everything related to the main story (conflict with the local religion, and also the dragon) from the first season. I wonder how they are planning to get back on track?

Now that is rather unexpected, they will need to think of a way to put in the central storyline and decide to base it on the manga or light novel since those differ a lot story wise.

This was a fun series, but like others, I'm surprised (but not disappointed) that it's getting more.

Watched this recently (like three months ago), found it surprisingly.... boring. Didn't realize they had cut out the main story.

Hope S2 can make it more interesting.

Wow, this is great news! This ended up being one of my favorite shows! I've rewatch this show numerous times!

I am an anime only viewer. So I was fine with the stories that was told.

Wow it's been three years but I am not going to lie, I thought after what happened with season 1 especially after it's horrendous first episode at its beginning which was a major turn off for most people, it managed to get a second season.

Surprisingly, they made such drastic cuts to the main story! Maybe they’re planning to reintroduce those elements later in a flashback or with a new narrative twist. It’ll be interesting to see how they realign everything—hopefully, the payoff is worth it.

I don't think the content of the first episode made that much of an impact. I think that most who disliked it, simply said, 'anime', and moved on. After all, mainstream Hollywood and the streaming services have no real problem with it, as long as it makes them money.

Glad the show is getting a second season, didn't realize the first season was truncated that badly. They will probably do what Arifureta did, and just backstory the cut parts or ignore them completely, as if they weren't important to begin with.
