Today, pre-sale tickets go live for Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Super Live, the world-wide smash hit 2.5D musical sensation. General sale tickets go live from 10am on Friday 20th December via the official website sailormoonsuperliveuk.com. There will be just 23 performance dates, starting on Tuesday 4th February and running until Wednesday 26th February 2025, playing across two exciting, prestigious venues in London: Here at Outernet in the heart of the West End and London's iconic KOKO in Camden.
The show's UK engagement, based on the hugely popular manga (comic book) Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, is strictly limited, with previous shows selling out in record time. Ticket prices start from £50 and include a range of VIP packages designed to create enchanting fan experiences. Over 60% of tickets are available at £50 and more than 70% are priced at £75 or under.
One of the most popular mangas of all time, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is a global cultural phenomenon. Created by Naoko Takeuchi, Sailor Moon began as a manga in 1991 in Japan in a girls' comic magazine published by Kodansha and has since sold over 46 million copies world-wide and has been translated into over 17 languages. It has been adapted as an anime programme (Japanese animation), and a live-action television programme which has aired in over 40 countries.
With Book, Lyrics and Direction by Kaori Miura (Musical: The Prince of Tennis, Tokyo Revengers The Musical) with choreography by Satomi Toma, and music by Go Sakabe and KYOHEI, the visually stunning show follows the stories of Usagi Tsukino, a teenage girl who transforms into the heroic Sailor Moon. Together, with her fellow Sailor Guardians, she battles many dark forces to protect the Earth from evil. With a mix of action, heartfelt moments, and iconic music, this production sees the manga characters brought to life on stage, in an epic story-telling live show experience guaranteed to wow audiences night after night, creating an unforgettable experience for fans and newcomers alike.
This newly staged version of Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Super Live will feature an all-female cast: Yui Yokoyama, Yui Oikawa, Marisa Yasukawa, Rii Tachibana, Yu Nakanishi, Mayu Tsuyuzume, Shiho Ota, norip, Miki Furusawa, Yuri Hirano, YOU, Mayu Omoshita, and Sufa.
At its core, Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is about strong girlfriends banding together to fight for what they believe in... that's timely. Sailor Moon and her fellow guardians are equipped with powers that help them defeat evil and the characters are imbued with the self-determination to make their own confident decisions. In short, they are the ultimate example of 'girl power.' The producers cannot wait to bring Sailor Moon, her Guardians and the 2.5D Musical experience to our brilliant fans in the UK.
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon: The Super Live premiered at the AiiA 2.5 Theater Tokyo in August 2018. Following its European premiere in Paris in November 2018, the show had its US premiere in Washington D.C. and New York in March 2019 which sold out within minutes, drawing audiences from over 40 states. It has since played a hugely successful run in Taiwan.
