On Sunday March 18, the film will also apparently be broadcast on Sky Perfect's satellite TV channel - BS Nihon Eiga- in Japan for the first time.

Are the ads embedded on ANN regional? One of them currently leads here:

This one too:

Same link, different image/ad, for the BS Nihon Eiga site of the film

A good reason to keep my Netflix sub for one more month.

So glad to see more exposure for In/From This Corner of the World. While people still seem to be all over Your Name as it won in the Film category at the CR Anime Awards, I think this show has the potential to be more culturally important and one which everyone should see. Only by understanding how Imperial Japan changed life for their people both for better and worse, and how the people both empowered and were ignorant of what happened, will we be mindful not to let that happen again.

Sounds great! I’ve been meaning to watch this for the longest time and now I will be able to have my chance. Looking forward to viewing this for the first time.

It was such a lovely (albeit depressing at times) film! I saw it the first time at an anime convention, so it will be nice to watch it without a huge crowd making noise outside the screening room.

Netflix announced on Monday that Sunao Katabuchi and MAPPA's In This Corner of the World film will be available on Netflix in Japan, the United States, Canada, and "some countries and territories" beginning on March 15.

And so we roll the dice yet again, fearful of the snake-eyes as ever we were...

out of the "big three" western anime movie releases last year (kimi no na wa, koe no katachi, and this) - this one most certainly got the least exposure. i hope it is available to a wide audience on netflix.

I finally would get to see this movie. Now I just need to get my hands on the manga the film is adapted from.

Wonderful news! I really want to see this, hope it gets released in Portugal!!

As of lately, their movie list has been a bit disappointing, but if I get to see this movie, I'll be more than happy.

Excellent! I look forward to watching it. I was also delighted to see the second part of Fate/Apocrypha finally hit NF Canada.

Nice to see this become available to a wider audience, though it would have been better news for me if I didn’t already own the Blu-ray.

I think I'll probably rewatch this, and maybe show it to some of my family. At least I'll recommend it to them and let them know it's there.
Personally kind of just holding out for that extended version whenever it happens.

There is an extended version? Well if it comes out I would check it out.

^It was put into production after this one became successful. They struggled to get this thing made at all, and it clearly came at the cost of them cutting material they really wanted to include, unfortunately. It seems like it didn't bother a lot of people, but I thought the editing was pretty stilted and it definitely did feel like some connective tissue was missing. But anyway, yeah, it's in production presumably right now. Here's the article.
