The film's all-new original story will take place after the Mother's Rosario arc. So is this the beginning of Sword Art Online 8: Early and Late? This LN coming next month.

No, "all-new original story" means just that. The author wrote it specially for this movie. It takes place after Mother's Rosario and before Alicization.

The Early and Late novel is a collection of 3 side stories:
- The safe zone PK ghost stuff from season 1
- The Calibur arc from season 2
- A story about how Kirito met another beta tester after leaving the Town of Beginnings in SAO. This one was never adapted into anime form.

This sounds like it's going to be very good. I hope that it's brought here soon and given a dub. I'd love to see this.
