There's just so many anime streaming services it's getting crazy. Crunchyroll, FUNimation, Daisuki, Neon Alley, Animesols, Anime-Planet, Crackle, Hulu and Netflix. Do we need more?

Anime Sols is dead and Neon Alley was a Hulu pass-through last I heard.

We're in a streaming boom, hopefully the streaming bust isn't as bad as the 1st Western anime bust.

Honestly I'm for more legal online streaming services because it creates a more competitive market which is always good for the consumer as it creates the need for companies to have a price that is affordable and have decent quality of content.
Also even though FUNimation and Crunchyroll have a huge number of simulcasts, both companies could only grab a handful of anime series that air in Japan so if there's more services available then there's a higher chance that more shows will be licensed for simulcast.

Note that Funimation, Neon Alley, Crackle and Hulu are North American only and Animesols was primarily a crowdfunding site for classic old anime.
If someone lives in Scandinavia, for instance, its pretty much Crunchyroll, Daisuki and Viewster.

I don't know whether we need more or not, but I can at least say that it is getting difficult to keep track of them all. I saw a commercial for some service during Toonami, and I had to think about whether it was new, or if was an existing service that was now showing anime.
Having more and more streaming services will have its pros and cons. It will force each one to compete in terms of pricing and quality, but it also seems like it could affect profits since the Japanese companies will have more options to shop around for higher and higher licensing fees, and the streaming services might not be able to charge as much as they need to out of fear that customers will flock to a service that under-prices.

I really hope its here to stay (as long as there is anime to stream I guess). Competition and need to distinguish themselves should improve their services and content (censorship, dubs, surround sound etc.) although the downside is having to pay for more services. Viewster are planning on offering a premium service with bi-monthly "loot" crate type boxes with Manga and other swag  fingers crossed its decently priced.
