Is it possible to remove a genre that does not fit the show from it?
I was wanting to remove Shoujo from Trinity Blood. |

Currently users can not correct mistakes. It's best that you submit error reports or bring up the errors in the forum.
I've removed shoujo from the genres for this anime. -t |

Actually, that wasn't an error. Trinity Blood should be considered shoujo if anything. The manga was published in the shoujo magazine, ASUKA. I've received numerous error reports about it and didn't remove it because of that. The title is deceiving, somewhat like how Weiß Kreuz doesn't look like shoujo, but is.

Monthly Asuka is a monthly Japanese shōjo manga magazine published by Kadokawa Shoten, aimed primarily at young girls, but with some crossover into young male audiences.
Trinity Blood is one example of their crossovers into the young male audience. |

You are sure about that? The character designs and artwork for the covers of the manga all look extremely bishie and shoujo style to me. I'd find it pretty hard to believe if such characters were aimed at males. |

Maybe it was aimed for both males and females, because I checked out the show and it was rather violent at moments. Either way I don't think manga cover designs are enough to classify a demographic.
Also we can't forget that the novels for Trinity Blood, which the manga and anime were based on, were published in The Sneaker which is aimed at young male audiences. |

Trinity Blood is far more about action than relationships and character development, therefore it's not "shoujo" as defined by the Encyclopedia. Oh well, the shoujo and shounen genres have been a source of endless confusion since the beginning of the Encyclopedia; I'm looking forward to remove them (very soon). I'll replace "shounen" by "action", but I do wonder what I should replace "shoujo" with. What's a good word for "relationships and character development"? |
