Just checked Funi's blog post and yes, the English Cast will be presented on the Adult Swim/Toonami premiere.

...Not wanting to sound like a hater or anything, but this is the biggest waste of a 30 min. timeslot of all time. Seriously, WHY?

(I would complain about IGPX as well, but THAT would be totally a hater thing)

Anyway, totally hyped for Space Dandy. And sure as heck hope it does great ratings-wise.

Guess I now have incentive to watch Toonami again, at least for a half hour. Not everyday we get something given to us before the Japanese get it. Laughing

I am so hyped for Space Dandy, it's insane. Kind of odd that Naruto is still on the lineup even while Shippuden is airing, but whatever. We have our extra half-hour, and a kickass world premiere to go along with it.

Oh, now I see. Interesting...indeed, the choice there was clear.

Thanks for clearing that up.

A lot of B-List dub talent for what should be an A-List show...

Can't say I'm entirely happy with the English cast but I'll give them a chance.

Dub production on this show must be intense (if anything like Gundam Unicorn, many are probably losing sleep) so I suppose it's possible Funimation didn't want to use all their best VAs otherwise production on other dubs would fall behind if they're too exhausted.

So the first Naruto series is on the schedule... but why start it all over at Episode 1? Why couldn't they just continue it where they left off? Makes no sense to me...

So they're starting Naruto over from episode 1? What a freakin' waste. That just annoys me.

My only complaint is no Steven Blum. Blum needs to fight more for these Shinichiro Watanabe roles, especially considering he is the face of Toonami. He can throw his weight.

Other than that, Ian Sinclair, Joel McDonald, J. Michael Tatum, Micah Solusod, Colleen Clinkenbeard, and R. Bruce Elliot are all solid choices.

Big O, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo are all non union roles and Steve Blum managed to get those roles without SAG chasing his ass. Same with JYB and his brief Kevin Hatcher bullshit stint. Hell, Troy Baker worked on Code Geass/R2, which are union dubs, but worked on FMA Brotherhood shortly after and that's a non union dub. When has SAG-AFTRA/any other union company actually penalized a voice talent for working on non union productions? Given how distinct Steve Blum's voice is, it would have been rather easy to spot him in Cowboy Bebop back in 1999 and compare him to his role in Wolf's Rain, which is a union dub and see that it's still Blum.
