If this is just a filler movie, then I'll definitely go in Philly just to support anime and such (of course if I'm free). I'm in the middle of the second uncut boxset, so I'm a bit behind in Naruto to say the least.

All the Naruto movies are filler movies. And they all suck too.

i'll have to disagree and say i've seen the first 2 naruto movies and thought both were very well done. especially the first one which is going to play in theatres - great story, nice fights, and good animation. wish they would play this in more theatres and closer to me! but most likely they are only going to show it dubbed anyway in which case you couldn't pay me to go see it =P

I could either go the the New York or Philadelphia screening, but I doubt I will, since I'd rather not make the trip on a Wednesday. Dealing with other people in a theater would probably be annoying, too. The story of the movie reminds me of the Inuyasha movies, for some reason. For Naruto, it just seems out of place and like something that would never happen in the manga.
Whatever, I'll probably buy it on DVD when it's released anyway.

I really liked the first movie.
The second movie I didn't like. It didn't seem to fit in with the world of Naruto.

I'll probably do the same as well...Even though I live in New York , I'll have to go find a movie theatre in Manhattan. Since I don't think they show anime movies in theatres around here [Queens]. I'll have to settle on buying the DVD instead.

Why is it that these movies never come to Sacramento? It's the state capital. I would love to see this on the big screen.

It's not like Sacramento is a hub of mainstream popular culture; I should know, I'm just across the river.

*grumbles something about Alabama*
meh...I've seen it, though. I still want to see the dub, though......
I was WONDERING when they were going to get around to this movie...I knew they'd release it sooner or later with the show's time-frame and all...
I prefer movie 2 myself but I'll have to wait a while....after episode 135 and all.
Sure they're BOTH fillers (and fillers are kinda evil) but the movies tend to be worth my time~ I wish I could go see the movie in theaters, though... Too bad I live in such a crappy place..
4 hours to go see an anime......? No thank you. I'll just have to wait for the dvd, eh? *sigh*

While I really did like both movies (the third one won't have a fansub release for a while), I have to say I agree. They don't need to be in theaters at all. Just a simple DVD release would be just fine.
I would go see them, however, but Utah is kind of far away from anywhere you'd expect it to be shown.
