Though it's more surprising what's actually the top world grossing animation of the year - and Universal Studio's 2nd highest ever (unadjusted for inflation)..............

I feel bad for Harlock not performing well, but then again I'm pretty sure it'll make up for all money lost when it starts being shown in France and Italy. O Albator, j'e t'aime j'e t'adore!

Was it someone in this forum? I predicted Monsters University would end up at number two overall for the year (behind The Wind Rises) right after The Wind Rises opening weekend. (So far, my prediction has been borne out, whether it stays true probably will depend solely on how well that Takahata film does.)

I really hope Takahata's film does well. The man's a genius and doesn't get nearly enough recognition for all of the masterpieces he creates. I can't wait to finally see his new movie, it looks very artistically innovative and beautiful.

I did not go see "Sadako 3D 2", but I noticed that the theater had a sign up telling people who were planning to see it that they should first download something to their cell phones, and leave their phones on during the movie. Hmmm....
