Not exactly newsworthy, but figured everyone would get a kick out of this.

Poor Kenshin. No one in the economy world seems to realize he's a guy.

Didn’t read it, but Kenshin does resemble a girl. Does house chores willingly, takes care of kids, not to mention, what he wears sort of looks like a kimono. Anyway, that's news for me.

Quote:
Swallowtail's butlers have fans eating out of their palms. Enthusiasts go often to get close to their favourite butler. “Being called a princess makes me feel really good about myself,” says a 20-year-old student visitor.
Laughing

There something that is just so wrong about that statement. But I guess guys are just as bad. Geez.

Poor Kenshin... As if having Suzukaze Mayo-sama as his seiyuu wasn't enough >.<

Whoever chose that picture is an idiot. Kenshin looks nothing like a woman. Once again, the media proves that it's stupid when it comes to anime. Next they'll have a picture of Pikachu in an article about cats. Rolling Eyes

Yet he's drawn with female attributes to help attract the female crowd, as mention by Watsuki in the manga.

I'm surprised the media made such a BIG mistake I mean come on sure he looks girlish but did they even talk to the creators or at least see five minutes of it. Rolling Eyes

A “schoolboy café” for working women.

So women are finally making there move Razz well I guess if you have a "maid café" you have to give them something. Are there "school girl cafés"...just wondering.

To quote Watsuki from the manga:

"In terms of graphic design, I had no real motif. The main character of my debut work was a tall, black-haired man in showy armor, so when I set out to design someone completely opposite to him, he ended up coming out like a girl (heh). Not knowing what else to do, I put a cross-shaped scare on the left cheek. Now that same cross marks the spot at which Battousai became Kenshin... or so I've heard!"

He's voice by women in the anime (Suzukaze Mayo) and CD drama (Ogata Megumi).

And if not for the absence of breasts, I say he'd look very much like a woman in this picture.

I can't get enough of that caption beneath the Kenshin picture: "Well, hello boys." Laughing Though they could've chosen a more comical Kenshin and not have had a guy getting killed in the background.

What kind of women do you know?? House chores and taking care of kids, spare me. Lol, if this is what you expect from women, you are in for a lot of disappointment in life. Wink

ON a seperate note, I guess I missed something, guys. Where did the idea that the writer of the article considered Kenshin to be a woman come from?

At least they didn't directly say Kenshin was "female" in the article itself. Way to luck out. O.o

I wonder how much they pay to speak English in one of those cafes... -_-;;;

/will need money to cover costly expenses while in Japan...

After reading the article, I think we're taking that quote the wrong way... seeing as it's basically about "Girl otaku like to oogle the pretty boys", I think the idea is we have a picture of some choice male specimen(s), and the caption is provided by the female reader (writer?) greeting her newest oogling subject.

I think, anyway... Very Happy

That's the way I saw the picture as well. I kept re-reading the article trying to figure out where I missed whatever was bothering people, but couldn't find it. The "Well, hello boys" to me means the they are referring to the men in the image, not that Kenshin is saying it.

Aside from "Well, hello boys!" being placed right under Kenshin, the article title is "Kick-ass maidens". And Kenshin is kicking some arse in that pic.
