That is great news! I've really been enjoying the Funimation block on Colours, and I'm glad they're adding shows to it.

This is very good news. They wouldn't be expanding the block unless it was successful, right?

More anime on TV means more money for the licensors. That means more money they can spend on new series, higher quality dubs, and DVD extras! (Or paying off loans and debt, which is also good.)

Now if only G4 would regrow their brains and bring back Anime Unleashed. RahXephon and R.O.D. the TV were superior series.

Am embarassed to admit I also watched Colorful Embarassed

Funi's fortunate in having enough content to support a syndicated anime block. Too bad G4 doesn't, or they could capitalize on the Anime Unleashed brand for a syndicated block of their own.

What's really interesting is how anime has drawn notice to CoLours, which was an obscure multicultural channel, and has brought it real paying advertisers to replace the freebie PSAs. Maybe that's something G4 needs to pay attention to.

Funi doubling the airtime hours probably means they're happy with the results. And good results will give the syndicator a better selling proposition when approaching other digital cable content providers about carrying the block.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear about additional outlets for the Funi TV block soon. (^_*)

I've had Dish Network almost six years now. Except for some technical problems at my old house, I've been pretty happy. But I would be hearing about various anime outlets like ADV's channel and wishing I had access to them. So this Funi deal with Colours, a channel I already had but only watched when there wasn't anything else on, is really making me happy.

How does one go about finding out if they get Colours TV or not? I saw that it's available here in OK, but I'm not sure if Cox cable carries it or not.

So are these shows going to uncut? I see blue Gender which I know CN [Toonami?] had to changed that a little bit in order to get it on the air.

Not like I am going to be able to watch it anyways, I am stuck with Comcast......and there taking away television programs already...
Till next time,

Nope, "Blue Gender" aired on Adult Swim. However, even compared to the editing standards of that time, the editing of "Blue Gender" went too far, removing stuff that passed the censors easily in other series. As far as I've heard, the extreme editing was blamed on a miscommunication between CN and Funi over how much editing was really necessary.

Oh, well.

Funi has the license or distribution rights or something to Slayers now, as CPM's might have expired.

Actually, TX needs to be added to the list of states--I've been watching Kodocha for a while now. =)

This news makes me quite happy! I'll defintely continue to tune in.

Does anyone know if any of these are going to be broadcast subbed?

That would be a deal killer for me.

Oh, sweet! Pluto is demoted from its planet status and FUNi increases its block hours. Seriously, though, now that they have more hours to work with, lets hope they stop editing shows for time.

I wonder if the Slayers will be the remastered version of it that Funi has been working on. That would definitely be worth a watch to see how it looks now and if they redubbed the episodes that had a different cast.
