Sounds promising, hope its as enjoyable to read as the Zelda manga are. Wonder who will localize it though, The peeps at IDW that do the US comic or, VIZ since they do the Zelda manga.
Any who looking forward to seeing how the manga turns out,

The best Zelda manga is still the 4 Koma Wind Waker one by OYSTER, but this could be interesting when I dive into the MLP fandom someday...
Hopefully, it'll turn out well and get localised.

The best Zelda manga was The Link to the Past comic that ran in Nintendo Power by Shotaro Ishinomori.

I think the only Zelda comic I've read is the Ocarina of Time one, so I have high hopes for the MLP manga. Though I don't think it will top IDW's work.

Hm... MLP:FiM must be doing well over there, then?
I will likely read it if it gets localized.

It's actually not doing that great. Here are the reasons I know:
A) It's on a Tuesday morning timeslot. I don't know about you, but I wasn't allowed to watch cartoons in the morning before school, neither did I have much time. The most popular shows are always put on Saturday in Japan. Or early evening.
B) At the huge Toys R Us in Ikebukuro, there is not a single MLP toy in sight, although the big idea was to have the show to sell the toys.
C) Lots of kids here have merchandise for Precure, Pokemon, Jewelpet, Pretty Rhythm, but I have not seen a single child with so much as a keychain of MLP.
The reason I think that they're doing the manga is to a) raise awareness b) Do it because they said they would ever since before the broadcast began.

I think so. Barbie has a manga in that magazine and it's not exactly huge either. Maybe Hasbro is pushing for it. I think the major reason it's not doing that well is, aside from not being a native show, is that it's about horses. That's more of an American little girl thing than a Japanese little girl thing. They probably see it's about horses and shrug their shoulders and might find that a bit random. Plus it's not story-driven like those other shows are and maybe the poor Flash animation puts them off, or at least those are my two reasons why I don't care for it I'd also rather watch something with more appeal for someone my age like Pretty Cure. I wonder if they'll drop it after their initial 52 episodes like Transformers Prime.

@Bonus. Actually the series is very story and character driven. There's plenty of over arching plot points, such as Dash wanting to join the Wonderbolts. The crusaders trying to earn their marks, and spike trying to win over rarity. And yes believe it or not there is world building new elements and locals introduced over time.
And the characters actually do grow as the series progresses, yes it's episodic, but it still has a sense of continuity to it.
As for the animation.. Just because something is flash doesn't mean it's cheap or bad. Now I will admit the latter half of the first season Sadly has some pretty rank animation errors. But season 2 and 3 are solid. And overall for a flash animation it's pretty well done.
Anywho I digress. Hope the manga gets localized.
