I'd kill for a Nasu licensing.

Wow. I can hardly believe that the entire Kenshin manga is completely released in the US. It was barely five years ago that I was reading Jinchuu using the original tankouban and Maigo-chan's text translations. Now my not-as-dedicated friends can finally see much of the reasoning behind my distaste for Seisouhen.
Major kudos to Viz for giving Kenshin such an ultra-fast release schedule.

And in the last volume of Rurouni Kenshin, they even give you a nice little poster. It is shrinkwrapped because of that, so don't buy an unwrapped version if you want the poster.

I think the fact that the series goes out with a "wistful sigh" instead of a bang should be in the Pros, not the Cons of the review.
I think the whole point of the series would be lost if the story went out with a 'bang'... a wistful sigh fits the personality of Kenshin.

Big points for the Don Mclean reference.
One of these days I'll have to collect all of Kenshin. Some years ago, well before it was licensed I hasten to note, I read some scanlations of the first few volumes and was instantly hooked. Now I have no reason to not get it.

It was nice to be able to read a RTO feature and not have the book still waiting to be read, except for Kenshin, which really, is the only manga I care about getting right now. It's hard dodging all the talk I've been involved with it. I wish I could find it...
Hot Gimmick was covered exceptionally.

And that's what sums it up so well. I can't imagine the empty void I'll have whenever it ends.

Gotta agree with you, though I'd rather see his short story collections over here, or even Tengu Party.
I'm probobly a minority, but I've been disapointed with the last story arc (actually the whole manga as well) of Kenshin. I'll admit that I bought into the hype of it being this great masterpiece when it was first release, and when I was let down I was asured time and time again that the later volumes were awesome. After reading most of the series now, it's definitally one of the better examples of a shonen manga on the market, but much of the time I was skipping battle scenes only to get to so-so story development. There were certianly moments when the story enthralled me, but I guess I'm just too old to really get caught up in it.
Interested in reading more of Hot Gimmick though. My tolerance for over-the-top shojo soap opera is low, so I've only read about four volumes, but I guess it doesn't get old.

I agree with you on the last story arc at least. I had heard that the Jinchuu arc was even better than the Kyoto arc but the last story arc was a bit disappointing, especially towards the end. It wasn't bad but it had some issues. The Shu-shinn/Four Gods fights in particular.

If you enjoyed the first four volumes, you'll probably enjoy the rest. If you struggled to get through those first four volumes, then I wouldn't recommend trying to force yourself to read the rest.

Bullsh*t. Anyone who gives Shonan Junai Gumi such a low grade simply doesn't understand good manga.
Especially if the same person gives Hot Gimmick an A- or whatever.
It's just my opinion.

What opinion? All you said was the reviewer's grade is bullsh*t. That's not an opinion, but a rant. Opinions involve detailed explanations and well-thought out sentences and/or paragraphs.

yeah, I said the reviewer's grade is bullsh*t. That's my opinion. I'm sorry, I don't have time to give you an explanation. Some of us have lives, and don't waste them on anime message boards.

That's still not an opinion, just a statement. And thank you for being an example of hypocrisy. You don't have time for an explaination because you have a life that you can't waste on an anime forum, then end up replying anyway by wasting your life to tell us?

Congratulations, you win today's "trolling idiot" award!
What'd you win? A lifetime ban!
