Anyone heard anything about Dragon Drive? The GAMECUBE game based on it was just released in Japan, and that's the first I've heard of it. I want to know more about the anime before I import the game. Is it popular at all in Japan? Who makes it?

anime#1167 is the studio info on DD. Bandai has the license.

I saw the first....5 or 6 episodes fansubbed. IMHO, it's a pretty cool show. I got to show it at KosaiKon before it was licensed and it got amazing feedback from the crowd. People were asking for most (unfortunately, I didn't have any more...I wasn't expecting such awesome feedback on it). At first, it kinda seems like Digimon, but it's a lot different. It's very high on my "to buy" list when the DVDs are released Very Happy

Yeah, I was really surprised by the series, something new for the monster pet genre. Kinda like a cross between Digimon and Angelic Layer. Makes really fast progress too, you don't have to wait 20-something episodes for something new to happen.

Music? Uh, don't know, I was too busy reading. Wink

*ponder* I don't remember the music, to be honest. Which means it wasn't awesome and it wasn't bad. I liked the theme song though.

Yes, the theme song does indeed rock. As does the GAMECUBE game, if anyone's wondering. Do yourself a favor and import it if you're looking forward to the anime. It contains the first episode (nigh-incomprehensible if you don't speak any Japanese, of course, but still enjoyable) on a seperate disc.
