Recommend some "goo" anime? Sure!

I can't help but rave about Rurouni Kenshin because the storyline is unbelieveable. It's both meaningful and gripping. Furthermore, there is a touch of humour and romance, but it's mostly filled with exciting battles. Definately give it a shot.

But if you've already seen it or it doesn't sound like your cup of tea, I recommend you check out this link and/or this link for further information. Have fun!

I would recommend DBZ because that anime was huge. Everybody loves DBZ because of the action. You should also read about it on wikipedia. They say it's the greatest anime of all time.

Wikipedia wrote:
Dragon Ball Z has also played a large part in contributing to the popularity of anime in westen culture. Though the first two seasons of the series were played on various networks in the U.S. in 1996, it would not take off for two more years until August 31, 1998, when Cartoon Network featured the show in its action-oriented Toonami lineup. Toonami heralded the show as "The Greatest Action Cartoon Ever Made," and it greatly boosted the popularity of Toonami, but unknowingly did so much more. Dragon Ball Z's newfound popularity helped to bring about a greater interest in Japanese cartoons in the eyes of western youth, which in turn fueled the western anime industry to new heights.

Hunter x Hunter is by the same manga-ka as Yu Yu Hakusho. It seems to be your average shounen show at first, but in time it blossoms into something innovative and wonderful. There are typical shounen elements like a system of techniques and an "energy system," but under that is a wonderful, complicated, and very exciting plotline.

Law of Ueki will be up your alley if you enjoy "tournament" type animes. It has a generic premise, and the plot is not deep by any means, but it should appeal to shounen fans. The plotline moves fast, and it is pretty long as well (50 something eps).

One Piece. A 250 ep+ show about a rubberman who wants to become king of pirates may not sound very entertaining, but One Piece is insanely addictive. From the humorous quirks, to the wacky, lively and unique characters, to the tearful scenes, One Piece grips the viewer and doesn't let go. Plus, the soundtrack is wonderful. IMO, it matches up with Last Exile and Full Metal Panic!

Monster is VASTLY different from the animes in your list. It has a very dark plot, sadistic villains, and little to no humor. It is very good, but do not expect it to be even remotely like Bleach or Black Cat.

I suggest you find a place where you can search anime by genre, and look up titles under "Shounen." You might find a lot that you like.

Fullmetal Alchemist! It has amazing character development as well as lovable characters, breathtaking music, astounding animation, not too long of a series so it never drags out (51 episodes plus a movie), and the storyline is deep and twisting, you'll love every minute of it!

To mention something that others haven't:

Full Metal Panic: I liked this, it's only twenty-something episodes, and doesn't go slow or anything. It has a nice plot and characters.

I would also suggest Fullmetal Alchemist as said earlier, Thought the story is serious, It has humorous scenes wherespoiler[The main character,Edward gets irritated when someone calls him short] the english Dub on this show is also good in my opinion. second I would Also suggest watching Gundam Seed If you want an anime with mecha and a good plot, though it's sequel sucked it's still a good show.
also try Tsubasa Chronicles which has crossovers of various anime tittles.(example:Chobits,Card captor sakura, clamp school)
