January 23, 2025 - The ANIME token is launching on Ethereum and Arbitrum and has a total supply of 10,000,000,000. Backed by premier web3 anime brand, Azuki, ANIME is the token that aims to transform the anime fandom of 1 billion fans into a community-owned network of creativity.
Token claims went live at 8 a.m. ET on Thursday, January 23, 2025. ANIME will be available for trading on centralized crypto exchanges, including Binance, OKX and Bybit. The token claim will be on Arbitrum. The Azuki community and other participating communities will need to have ETH on Arbitrum to claim. More details of the token allocation and claim process here: anime.xyz/faq.
The Animecoin Foundation announced Animecoin tokenomics last week, where it noted that the community allocation accounts for over 50% of the total supply. This allocation underscores the commitment to empowering early supporters who contribute to the vision of creating an open anime universe. Neither the Animecoin Foundation nor Azuki has raised any VC funding, demonstrating that decentralized communities can truly come together to build sustainable, community-driven ecosystems that prioritize creativity, collaboration, and shared ownership.
The Animecoin Foundation has unveiled a comprehensive blueprint detailing its Full Stack Anime approach. This strategy integrates original IP creation, mainstream distribution, and dedicated infrastructure to establish an unparalleled creative ecosystem. In March 2024, the Animecoin Foundation introduced Animechain, a specialized blockchain for anime culture developed in collaboration with Azuki and Arbitrum. Azuki has already achieved over 1 billion impressions across platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Weibo, and X, solidifying its position as the leading anime brand in the web3 space. Additionally, Azuki recently teased updates to Anime.com on X, revealing plans for features centered around discovery, social interaction, streaming, collectibles, and gamification. These updates, highlighted in the Animecoin Blueprint, indicate that Anime.com will serve as the flagship app within the Animechain ecosystem. With the introduction of Animecoin, anime fans can now take part in shared ownership and directly own a piece of the culture they love, fostering deeper engagement and a stronger sense of community.
Official links and claim details will only be shared and announced from the Animecoin account on X.
