You knew this was coming. Which is funny considering how the majority of the series ended up on DVD anyway.
But it really is an interesting show. Very original and creative too. Now fans can own it. |

I knew it'll get licensed soon, but I'm glad it's in that state because I can finally check out the episodes beyond episode 7 where the fansubbers dropped off. And there's the inclusion of the DVD-only episodes.

There was an AoD post recently that basically said they were licensing this and Ichigo Mashimaro.
I saw the first episode fansubbed and it looks pretty good. I'll be getting this when it comes out. here is the first post and here was another announcement that I couldn't find the actual post for but was quoted in another forum:

It's very good. The animation is pretty amazing as well. |

While it's not on their website (lack of schedule, mostly), Jonathan Klein from New Generation Pictures is actually bringing Kamichu! to premiere at Anime Detour the week before Tekkoshocon (along with GunXSword).

Kamichu! was the "suprise" annoucment, but probably no suprise as to itself being licensed. Ichigo Mashimaro was no surprise at all.
But we dont throw thousands of dollars at "surprises!"; we give them to good shows, which IMO these two are great examples. |

It will be announced sooner or later. We know they have it, it's just a matter of time before they announce it. |

I'm excited too. I should probably mention we got this info from our Sunday night chats at DubReview, where Jonathan Klein regularily joins us to talk. -BigPants[/url] |

Yay for Tekko being mentioned on ANN!
Funny thing is I'm on the message boards (and con staff) and that link was the first time I saw the actual post. Also of note is the premiere of the 2nd UFO Valkyrie volume, which I'm sure will stir up even more throves of excitement. I can't wait to see you all there. |

I might go to this convention. I live 15 minutes away from it . I've never been to a convention before and I've been wanting to go to one.

Ichigo was announced along with Kamichu. Some of the specifics for both releases are over at AOD, and I'm surprised it took this long for it to show up here. Strawberry Marshmellow (aka Ichigo) will be three discs with pencil boards. They have episode zero and the music clips. The pencil boards should be on the outside of the package to make the lottery easier, if things go according to plan. Kamichu will be four discs. Box with extra pencil boards and a wall scroll with volume one. Pencil boards, again on the outside of the package, on the other volumes. |
