Sounds exciting, I'm already eager to hear more about it since it's a Metal Gear related game.

Gotta love how gamers lose their shit as soon as anything new is announced.

I always get amazed at the jumps in logic, there's no mention of any online component.

No MGS is not dead, and what's wrong with online gaming. It's not like people are forcing you to play online. Geez you're like the developer behind Spec Ops: The line saying MP is bad. IF you don't like it, don't buy it and don't complain!!!
Anyway, the Fox Engine looks awesome, looks like Frostbite 2 (the engine used for Battlefield 3 and the upcoming Medal of Honor: Warfighter) and Cryengine 3 (used in Crysis 2 and the upcoming Crysis 3) is going to face some interesting competition.

It's a little early to be jumping to conclusions, but for example Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls: Skyrim are open world.

He's probably confusing this with Metal Gear Social Ops, which was also just announced

I love how the second post in this thread is some of the most retarded bulls**t imaginable one would post as a reaction to this news.
Real great example you're setting for your community there slick.

The demo was running on the PC too. Kojima would eternally be my favorite developer if he released this on the PC.

I don't play "online" games, but I'm excited about the use of the Fox Engine in future titles. If that pic was generated real-time, that's amazing. Can't wait for MGS5 or ZoE3 lol

the demo they showed wasn't for an "online" game. They didn't even mention an online component.
What is it with people confusing "online" with "open-word"?
