For the sake of enquiry, could anyone remind me of how AnimeLeague came to be considered mildly villainous by other fan circles? The specifics escape me.

I wondered this, according to ED, Mike Towers is accused of spamming people. ED isn't exactly fair to the people it features though.
If he's here he can speak for himself, I haven't had any trouble with them myself... |

If you know his set text, you can find plenty of examples. Because he's been doing it for nigh on a decade. 2003 2003 2006 2007 2009 2010 - this one ended up with him banned from the MCM Expos. Give it a try, it's endless fun for all the family. Great to see an anime club so packed full of anime content too. What? Just an hour at the start? Really? OK... Well things like cosplay and Mario Kart are at least related to anime, they're a part of otakudom. I wouldn't mind something like that happening near me but not in the city where dad won't drive me lol.
