Nice Gunpla collection. I would suggest panel lining though. =) And dude-- I totally had that Thunder Megazord too! Sold it some years back though since it was just collecting dust in my closet.

I'm throwing down a challenge: please show us something you've seen which answers the (rhetoric) question. This is the reason I hate time traveling series, which always start off fixing a problem, rather than the events which caused the problem. Why go back and "Stop X" when it's much easier to go back a few more years and "Stop the parents of the initiator of 'X' from meeting/having children". To see Chaos;Head conform to this benign simplicity leaves me thankful I didn't fall victim for its low price on the last sales offering. As for Glass Maiden, I'm moving on. Literally nothing to see here. K-ON is my dessert, to be acquired when the store finally marks down the price to reflect its number of days unsold after the "sell by" date has passed. I'm glad it's filled with preservatives to make it last until that time finally arrives. |

Surprisingly there was a collection announced by Bandai for K-ON! Season 1.
I don't think the singles will be on the shelf to gather dust. Our local Best Buys had had multiple copies of all 4 K-ON! singles up thru Christmas. There was only a lone copy of Volume 4 this past weekend. I'd buy the second season and movie if released here, but I suspect that TBS will have to abandon their micromanagement of the release to get a distributor to work with them. I doubt there is any hurry on either group's part. Mark Gosdin |

Really nice review of K-On! volume four. I also felt that ep. 14 was a nice emotional uplift and better way to finish things out compared to ep. 13. It was all too typically cute to see how HTT interacted with the other bands in the episode. My only regret is that I'll never be able to really experience one of Mugi's tea offerings.
Going forward from there, I do not have high hopes for the second season and the movie arriving in the U.S. Hopefully some one, some company has the gumption to bring it over for us and anyone else who wants to keep enjoying K-On!. |

I haven't seen Chaos;Head, but at least its spiritual successor Steins;Gate addresses this question. Maybe the writers are learning! In S;G, you can change things in the past, but due to the "butterfly effect" there will also be a number of unintended consequences. The magnitude of these consequences is a function of the magnitude of the change and how far back in time you went. The protagonist quickly learns that "fixing things" is not as simple as it seems. |

"Excuse me sir, you look like a man who needs help pleasing his wife."
-Homer Simpson For quoting classics from The Simpsons I tip my cap and proclaim this the greatest Shelf Life ever. As for those two turkeys... Yeah, you got their number.
Exactly. That's also a part of the problem I had with Juiz and Eden of the East: a spoiler[super computer able to interpret and execute whatever command, in the real world, almost irregardless of it's complexity, difficulty, cost or its abstractness. Where's the difficulty in that?] |

"A second rate cable show" is a pretty apt description for Glass Maiden, though I'd say it feels like most shows of its ilk on cable. On the other hand, while it was rough-around-the-edges, it was still decent enough to not be a waste of time.
As for the production, the show was made with an international audience in mind (hence some of the elements and style). Its aesthetics were likely based on a 90s-style to reflect the "old-school gumshoe" feel they were going for. And, oddly enough, this was an original production, too, not one based off of an existing story. It seems there was a decent push from the producers behind it, as well. |

Pretty much summed it up here, chaos;head isn't that bad of series but it's one that I don't want own just watch. I know the major discussion over show don't tell from the last podcast however it doesn't work when they cut out so much material and leave people clueless to what's going on "chaos;head is based of an all ages vn as well" eh I think it's worthy of a rental but not much else. |

Close. Even though the VN was rated 15+ I think they were going for the typical sounding sister found in dating sims rather than what real sibling would sound like. |

First, my condolences Erin, I'm sorry for your loss.
Second, spelling time with me:
Galaxy. Third, ugh this post:
Dude, grammar and sentence structure. Fourth: But, but, I liked Glass Maiden, Erin! =O I saw it a few years ago via fansubs and enjoyed it for what it was. The characters were quite a likable bunch (except for that annoying Manami, the show could have done without her) and I loved the opening theme too. The detective agency was a unique cast and the drag queen was a riot. Sorry to hear you didn't like it as much. Oh well, at least I can get the legit DVD now. |

Pretty much. One cour was not enough for Chaos;Head to explain everything and go through things properly. 2-cour for Steins;Gate was just enough even though some things got cut out and other things were not as well explained as in the game due to time constraints. I think Chaos;Head would have benefited if it was at least two cour. Also, didn't like Madhouse's B or C team do the adaptation? |
