Not only is it smaller, and not only is it unflipped, but it looks to be cheaper as well. Finally, I'll have a reason to buy the Ah! My Goddess manga. Very Happy

I don't mind the unflipped and cheaper part, but I still prefer the larger pages of the old format, with the amount of detail Fujishima put in the art.

The fact it's unflipped is a compelling enough reason for me to rebuy, since I already have up to volume 26 in French.

Why is smaller better? Maybe for a some art, but the detail in OMG!'s art really benefits from the old format. As for the unflipped part, I could care less either way, but I am bummed out that it's going to be cheaper paper. Just compare an OMG! comicbook and a high quality trade if your in doubt that paper can make the art look better. That's the price of cheapness I guess, and Studio Proteus will still be translating it, so the new format is fine by me.

The ink tends to fade on some of the previous manga formats, I remember the first releases of manga where you thought you were reading a newspaper when you looked at your fingers

I just hope that they will think about rereleasing the series in unflipped format along with unflipped versions of Gunsmith cats and Exaxxion.

This is great news! Wow! The books are being reprinted unflipped and in smaller format... finally. I hope this will give the franchise a shot in the arm on the store shelves as it now will sit alongside all the other manga books.

I can't believe people are complaining about this. The first book will have a new cover by Fujishima, it will have the color insert pages from its serialization in Afternoon, AND it will be unflipped. What more do people want? The resolution per page will stay the same, so there will be zero loss of detail. Heck, unflipping the book will make the artwork better overall.
