perhaps this will incite a revitalizing wave of popularity, prompting adv to release a special edition of bloodlust

Actually, that's Urban Vision, not AD Vision . And yes, I'd like a Special Edition of Bloodlust as well. In fact, I kept a bootleg of the movie only because it has a DTS track as opposed to only a 5.1 DD track on the R1. I also hope they put the Japanese dub on it too.

D is one of my favorite characters. I really no not read manga, but this will be one I'll keep and eye out for.
*Oops, I just realized that these are novels and not manga.
They must be pretty good they made so many volumnes and sold so many copies.

Well selling many copies doesn't always mean really good:
Example: Dragon Ball Z, Yugioh and Pokemon.

I'll give it a shot. I do have two fears though: 1) The translation will be botched and 2) It will turn out to be lame after all these years of VHD hype on how the books were better.

I can't help but be pleased about this. The VHD novels are probably the single most legendary series of novels turned anime in fandom.
I'm certainly hoping, too, that the Yoshitaka Amano cover paintings are kept intact, too. I mean, talk about artwork!

And I say again, WOOOOHOOOOO!!!! I have long desired to read these novels and am very pleased at their affordable price. And yes, I also hope Amano's work appears within them. He is one of my favorite artists.
I personally would love to see more well-made VHD movies. Perhaps if sales of the novel go well, we'll be treated to such a creation.

You're not kidding.
I saw the first VHD when I was what...12 or so, I think. I heard about the novels not long after that.
I'm 23 now, so I've been waiting 11 years for this.
Talk about something you thought would never happen. Sweet.

I am excited about this. If itg garners enough attention maybe some company will reprint the VHD art books that are out of print in japan and are soo hard to find. I just love those paintings and ink drawings. I can't wait to read the stories either. I am very very happy!
I hope they do come out with a repack of Bloodlust too. I would love to hear the Japanese Dub. The english wasn't bad but I love having the japanese voices. Heres hoping.
