Honestly, I thought it would do better, since volume 27 sold over 918,000 copies. Maybe the long hiatuses are finally costing HxH some readers.

Vol. 27 only had like 480k first week sales though. So I'd expect to see a pretty big second week for HxH as well.

Yeah, what the heck is going on in that cover art? Can't wait to read it.
I predict Togashi ends Hunter x Hunter after this arc wraps up. Even though he keeps on writing at a high level, his heart is obviously not in it anymore. |

Even though I get annoyed at the long breaks, he really does put out some high quality goods. I guess it's better than a steampile of crap on a regular basis, but still... As much as I adore the characters, I would love for your prediction to come true. It would be nice to see one of my four manga gateway drugs (Berserk, Blade of the Immortal, Saiyuki, and HxH) get a proper conclusion. |

well, since the said premise of this whole manga is to for Gon to find his father, it would make no sense to end the manga along with end of this arcs... unless some of "ants" would not suddenly disclose himself as Gon's father...
but, of course, HxH can be dropped after this arc indeed... however, this is nothing like "proper conclusion" you are talking about... |
