Top notch animation, definitely one of the best that I've seen. The story as a whole is very confusing, especially towards the latter half, however even without a complete grasp, it is a very powerful and touching story. Air is split into three arcs, the first one I felt was the best. The stories of all of the girls and how it was told was wonderful, and I felt great watching them. Once again, the only downfall of this series was the confusing ending which lacks quite a bit of details. |

About a High School Playboy who suddenly gains the responsibility of taking care of his cousin who happens to be a little girl going to kindergarten. It's always nice to see teenage adolescents taking responsibility, and being able to endure hardships. On that note, it's a good show. However, some of the other "mini" stories are a bit too corny, and the show starts to get boring half way through. |

Azumanga Daioh is a series put together of 5 minute bits. While the story as a whole is connected, each 5 minute bit is it's own subplot with a beginning and an end. The most common knowledge of Azumanga Daioh is how funny it is, but the humor are often culture related. However, what I find to be the strongest asset of Azumanga Daioh is its consistency. Right from the beginning, each character is given a trait, and they portray that trait throughout the series without fail. Hence, often times, the humor is magnified because the viewer had expected something funny to happen. Lastly, there weren't any parts of Azumanga Daioh that I didn't like. While it wasn't amazing, it certainly was a lot of fun to watch, without any negatives. |

Bleach is a shounen action type anime series that definitely excelled at that. The foundation is very solid, allowing for many different possibilities and great action. The series starts off slowly for the first 15 episodes or so, making it seem much like many of the other action series. However, Bleach picks up dramatically after episode 15, and is a lot of fun for the next 50 episodes. The brilliant plot twists and the action kept me from being able to stop watching. The music was also good, well fitting to the action scenes and the sad scenes. |

Chobits is a typical boy randomly meets girl, and they get together and live happily ever after series. Of course, there are some weird supernatural things that happen, but in the end it's all about the relationship between Hideki and Chii. What was good about this series was that it didn't cause for a lot of drama. The other women involved with Hideki all branched off with other guys, and he was never forced to make any silly decisions that caused for major downfalls for these type of anime. Also, Hideki's character was done well, and many of the romance phenomenons were fairly logical. The animation is great, and Chii pretty much defines cuteness. In the end, you can't expect too much from an anime series that falls under this category, and really have to watch it for what it is. Chobits is a good watch, but not exceptional in any way. |

The main problem about Chrono Crusade is that it's too average. Animation, story, music, characters, pretty much everything that makes up an anime series screams out AVERAGE. As someone who grew up in the US, and is very accustomed to US culture, I dislike the fact that Chrono Crusade was set in the US, and delt with religion. Some parts were pretty cool, some were touching, but that is expected. Chrono Crusade failed to bring out things that was above expectations and was unable to reach the next level. It's worth watching, but nothing special. |

This masterpiece is a classic among all of anime. The characters were chosen flawlessly, with each of them being their own selves and progressing the story. While Cowboy Bebop did not have many episodes dealing with the main story of the characters, leaving no specific story to tell, the assimilation of the many sub-stories were done perfectly to bring out its true potential. It ends with a perfect ending that both leaves the viewer wishing for more but also satisfies the viewer at the same time. Cowboy Bebop is truely something special, and a definite must watch. |
