Seven Seas Announces Yuri Romance Manga from Morinaga Milk
Seven Seas Got Milk!
(LOS ANGELES, August 9, 2013) - Seven Seas Entertainment is proud to announce Gakuen Polizi, the newest yuri romance manga from critically-acclaimed and fan-favorite author Morinaga Milk. This highly-anticipated new series combines police drama with a romance story between girls, and incorporates shoujo-inspired artwork that is Morinaga Milk's signature style.
Gakuen Polizi started its serialization in Japan in 2012 and runs in Futabasha's Comic High! magazine. Seven Seas previously released Morinaga's Girl Friends, which went on to become a New York Times Best Seller, along with Kisses, Sighs, and Cherry Blossom Pink, a collection of interrelated yuri stories. Both series have met with rave reviews and received multiple reprints.
Gakuen Polizi volume 1 will be released in June, 2014. Volume 2 will follow in the fall, 2014.
Gakuen Polizi
As a child, Sasami Aoba fantasized about becoming a defender of justice, like the magical girls and "Sentai Rangers" she admired on TV. Years have passed and now Sasami has become a police officer herself. Her first assignment is to infiltrate Hanagaki All-Girls High School and ferret out any trouble she may find.
On her first day posing as a student, Sasami is shocked to discover that a supposed book thief at school is actually a fellow undercover police officer, Sakuraba Midori. What's more, Midori insists that she herself is the officer in charge of the school, not Sasami. Will the two girls become rivals, partners...or something more?
