U.K. Blu-ray Steelbook of City Hunter Angel Dust Will Be Released on Monday

"Ryo Saeba is known as City Hunter, the top “sweeper” within the underworld. Based in Shinjuku as a private detective, he and his partner Kaoru Makimura take on a variety of clients. Their latest case is provided by Angie, a filmmaker, with a simple request - to find her missing cat. Ryo is thrilled by Angie's beautiful looks while Kaori is thrilled by the hefty reward...
"Meanwhile, Saeko Nogami of the Metropolitan Police investigates an invention of the biotech company Zoltech - a dark technology that turns soldiers on the battlefield into superhumans. Created at the request of a mysterious underworld organization, this invention is the newest version of Angel Dust, which once almost destroyed Ryo and sent his partner Hideyuki Makimura to his death.
"Can these two cases possibly be linked? There's clearly more to Angie's request than she's willing to share, and the truth around Angel Dust is about to launch Ryo into a fateful showdown with links to Ryo's very origin as a sweeper..."
The film opened in Japan in September 2023, commemorating the 35th anniversary of the City Hunter television anime. The franchise director Kenji Kodama directed the new film at Sunrise and The Answer Studio Co., Ltd. Yasuyuki Mutō (Deadman Wonderland) wrote the screenplay.
Returning in the film are the three Kisugi thief sisters from the Cats Eye anime. Keiko Toda and Chika Sakamoto returned from the original Cats Eye television anime as Hitomi and Ai. Rica Fukami played Rui. (Toshiko Fujita, who played Rui in the original Cats Eye anime, passed away in December 2018.) Other returning voice actors include Akira Kamiya as Ryo Saeba, Kazue Ikura as Kaori Makimura, Harumi Ichiryūsai as Saeko Nogami, Tesshō Genda as Umibōzu, and Mami Koyama as Miki.
Crunchyroll will release the 24-part second season of A Certain Scientific Railgun S on Blu-ray. Anime-on-line describes the story:
"When electromaster Mikoto Misaka discovers her DNA is being used to mass-produce clones for sadistic scientific experiments, she vows to save her duplicates and destroy the project. But this might be one fight she can't win alone."
