Aniplus Asia Airs Simulcast of Laid-Back Camp Creator Afro's mono Anime

mono will premiere in Japan on April 12. The anime stars:
- Haruna Mikawa as Satsuki Amamiya
- Aoi Koga as character An Kiriyama
- Hikaru Tohno as Sakurako Shikishima
- Reina Ueda as Haruno Akiyama
- Maki Kawase as Kako Komada
Ryota Aikei (Jujutsu Kaisen assistant director) is directing the anime at Soigne. Takuya Miyahara is designing the characters. Yoko Yonaiyama (A Sign of Affection) is writing the script. Aniplex is producing. halca is performing the ending theme song "Weekend Roll."
Afro launched the four-panel manga in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Carat in March 2017. The manga follows high school girls in the "cinephoto" club, which combines cinema and photography. Houbunsha published the manga's fourth compiled book volume in April 2024.

The premiere of the previously delayed episodes will start with episode 5 in Japan on May 8.
The anime premiered on Tokyo MX, ABC TV, BS11, AT-X, and d-Anime Store on July 10 last year. The anime was previously slated to air in 2023 but was delayed to July 2024. Aniplus Asia previously aired the anime as it ran.
Yūki Inaba (KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World) is directing the new season at Studio Palette and SILVER LINK. Studio Palette is also in charge of the series composition. Kaori Yoshikawa (KamiKatsu: Working for God in a Godless World) is designing the characters. Yukio Nagasaki (Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War) is the sound director at Bit Grooove Promotion. Elements Garden (Uta no Prince Sama, Symphogear franchises) is composing the music. Pony Canyon is producing the music.
AliA performs the anime's opening theme song "Senaka Awase" (Back to Back), while Sizuk performs the anime's ending theme song "Para Bellum" (Prepare for War).
The first season premiered in October 2020. Aniplus Asia aired the anime as it aired in Japan.
Yen Press is publishing the light novels and their manga adaptation in English, and it describes the story:
