Elex Media Licenses Kagurabachi Manga

Indonesian publisher Elex Media revealed on Wednesday that it has licensed Takeru Hokazono's Kagurabachi manga, and will release the first volume in Indonesia on March 12.

MANGA Plus is releasing the Kagurabachi manga digitally in English. MANGA Plus describes the story:

Young Chihiro spends his days training under his famous swordsmith father. One day he hopes to become a great sword-maker himself. The goofy father and the serious son--they thought these days would last forever. But suddenly, tragedy strikes. A dark day soaked in blood. Chihiro and his blade now live only for revenge. Epic sword battle action!

Hokazono debuted the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 2023. Shueisha published the manga's fifth compiled book volume in December 2024, and will release the sixth volume on March 4.

The manga topped the print category in the Next Manga Awards 2024 in August 2024.

Toyo Keizai Online reported in December that the manga will get an anime adaptation at Cygames Pictures.
