Pokémon Carnival in Mumbai Announces Schedule

The Pokémon Company's Indian Instagram account announced the schedule for the Pokémon Carnival event on Thursday. It will host the following events and activities at the following times:
- Pokémon Video Contents - 3:00 p.m. IST, 5:15 p.m. IST, and 7:15 p.m. IST.
- Pikachu Parade - 3:45 p.m. IST, 5:45 p.m. IST, and 7:45 p.m. IST.
- Pokémon Quiz - 4:00 p.m. IST, 6:00 p.m. IST, and 8:00 p.m. IST.
- Dance with Pokémon - 4:20 p.m. IST, 6:20 p.m. IST, and 8:20 p.m. IST.
- Pokémon Music Performance featuring Project VOLTAGE High - 4:35 p.m. IST, 6:35 p.m. IST, and 8:35 p.m. IST.
- Pokémon Bingo - 4:45 p.m. IST, 6:45 p.m. IST, and 8:45 p.m. IST.
- Pokémon EDM - 5:05 p.m. IST, 7:05 p.m. IST, and 9:05 p.m. IST.
The Pokémon Carnival and Pokémon Run events will run from February 27 through March 2 at Jio World Garden, BKC, Mumbai, India. Registrations for the event are open on the event's website.
The Pokémon Run event will have a 2K Fun Run on March 1 and a 5K Fun Run on March 2. Individual entry for the run costs ₹600 and entry for children 12 years old and below costs ₹400. Entry to the Pokémon Carnival is free for participants of Pokémon Carnival, otherwise entry tickets to the Carnival cost ₹100 for individual entry and ₹75 for children 12 years old and below.

The first Pokémon Mela event took place in November 2023 at DLF Mall of India, Noida. It took place at DLF Avenue, Saket, New Delhi and at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi in December 2023. Mumbai had its Pokémon Mela from May 31 to June 2 at Phoenix Marketcity.
The events included Pikachu dance performances and parades, Quiz contests with giveaways and prizes, screenings of Pokémon animation videos, colouring activities, and a Pokémon photobooth. Participants of the photobooth activity had the opportunity to win enter a post-and-win giveaway for Pokémon plush toys. The events also included special Pokéstops for the Pokémon GO app.
The Pokémon Company previously stated that the Pokémon Mela is the first in a series of initiatives planned to enhance the presence of Pokémon in India. Corporate officer at The Pokémon Company Susumu Fukunaga stated at the Pokémon Festivities event on October 16, "We want to take our events to many other cities and not just Tier 1 cities." Fukunaga had stated the company wants "to create more and more opportunities to reach out to the audiences in India and find a place in their everyday life. We believe that on-ground events are key to fostering meaningful interactions with existing Pokémon fans, while carving a way to connect with new ones."
