Shaman King Flowers Manga Sequel Ends This Month
posted on by Egan Loo
Hiroyuki Takei is ending Shaman King Flowers, the sequel series to his Shaman King manga, in the final issue of Shueisha's Jump X (read as Jump Kai) magazine on Friday. However, the magazine adds the following note, "Please wait for more information on the future of the Shaman King franchise." Shueisha will publish the sixth compiled book volume of the manga on December 19.
Shueisha launched the magazine in 2011, and Takei launched Shaman King Flowers in the magazine in the following year. The main character of the new manga is Hana Asakura, the son of the original manga's protagonist Yō Asakura. Hana demonstrates abilities exceeding even those of his father.
Takei also published a series of short manga about previously untold "zero stories" about Yō and other characters in Jump X. Viz Media publishes Takei's Shaman King and Ultimo manga in North America.
