posted on by Karen Ressler
Game developer Arc System Works ended its "BRCS" countdown with the announcement of the Japanese localization of the latest game in the BloodRayne series, BloodRayne: Crimson Slayer (BloodRayne: Betrayal). The side-scrolling "vampire action" game will be available for download on PlayStation 3 in Japan on May 1.
The website included a promotional movie:
Texas-based game company Terminal Reality developed the first BloodRayne game for North America in 2002 for GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox, and followed with a PC and Mac release. BloodRayne 2 for PS2, PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox shipped in 2004 and BloodRayne: Betrayal for PS3 and Xbox 360 shipped in 2011. The games inspired three live-action movies directed by Uwe Boll.
Update: The game is a Japanese localization of BloodRayne: Betrayal. Thanks, DRWii.
