Crows' Takahashi Starts Mini-Series in May
posted on by Sarah Nelkin
The April issue of Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion is announcing on Thursday that manga creator Hiroshi Takahashi (Crows, Worst) will be returning to the magazine in the June issue on May 2 with a new mini-series. Takahashi has not serialized a new manga in Shōnen Champion since his Worst manga ended last year.
Takahashi's Crows manga ran for 26 volumes, and Digital Manga Publishing partially published its sequel manga Worst in English. Crows also inspired a two-episode anime OVA adaptation, the 1994 Koukou Butouden Crows. Tokyo Shock released the Crows Zero film on Blu-ray Disc last year in North America after the film had been previously released in North America on DVD in 2009, and the video label MVM released both Crows Zero and Crows Zero II in the United Kingdom. Crows Explode, the 3rd film in the live-action Crows film series is opening in Japan on April 12.
