The preview for the May issue of Futabasha's Monthly Action magazine announced on Tuesday that Pupa manga creator Sayaka Mogi will begin serializing the new manga titled Ao no Haha (Mother of Blue) in the issue, which is scheduled to ship in Japan on March 24.
The manga revolves around a young woman who during a ceremony sees a doll that looks exactly like herself. Captured by the heartless actions of the village, she is thrown once again into a world of nightmares. Why were the dolls created? In addition, who and what is the “Blue Mother?” The magazine has the tagline, "In the village where humans and dolls mix, she lives in a nightmare, cursed with a sad fate."
Mogi started another series, the "'secondary sexual' psychological fantasy" Switch Witch, on Tuesday. The Pupa manga ended in December, and the anime adaptation of the manga began airing last month. Crunchyroll is streaming the series in various countries outside of Japan as it airs.
