The 60th volume of Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto manga ranked at #3 on Nielsen BookScan's list of top 20 graphic novels in American bookstores for March. The same volume had topped the list in February.
The Naruto volume is one of seven manga titles on the list. Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon volume 10 ranked at #5, Akihisa Ikeda's Rosario + Vampire Season II volume 11 ranked at #10, Sailor Moon volume 9 ranked at #12, Matsuri Hino's Vampire Knight volume 16 ranked at #13, QuinRose and Mamenosuke Fujimaru's Alice in the Country of Clover: Cheshire Cat Waltz volume 4 ranked at #14, and Eiichiro Oda's One Piece volume 66 ranked at #17.
Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic series continued to dominate the chart, claiming seven places this month, with The Walking Dead Compendium volumes 1 and 2 taking the top two spots.
The BookScan rankings represent sales at Barnes & Noble and other book chains, independent bookshops, and online purchases — but not sales at comic book stores, Walmart, and some other venues.
