Fujimi Shobo began streaming two television ads on Monday for Date A Live franchise. The first ad features clips from the television anime, and also advertises the seventh volume of the light novel series, and two manga spin-off series. The second ad focuses on the original light novel and two spinoff manga series. Both ads feature the anime's theme song "Date A Live" by sweet ARMS.
The Date A Strike manga is currently running in Kadokawa Shoten's Dragon Age magazine, and the second volume shipped in Japan on March 8. Kakashi Oniyazu is drawing the series based on Koushi Tachibana's original story. Date A Origami, drawn by Maya Mizuki, is a four-panel manga running in Dragon Magazine Age Premium. The manga's first volume also shipped on March 8.
In the original light novel series, a boy named Sido (Shidō) Itsuka meets a spirit girl who has been rejected by a devastated world. The girl, who Sido names "Tohka," happens to have wiped out much of humanity 30 years ago, and now she is back. The only way to stop her is to date her. The anime adaptation began streaming on Niconico on Saturday, and it will premiere on the Tokyo MX TV station on April 5.
