posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The April issue of Takeshobo's Manga Club Original launched Takayuki Mizushina's new Tabata-chan Ha (Tabata-chan Clique) manga series on Friday. The four-panel manga follows the everyday life of a taciturn but extremely curious girl named Tabata-chan and the heartwarming conversations she has with her mother.
In addition, Mizushina's Pink Sora Ringo (Pink Sky Apple) manga will move from Manga Club Original to Takeshobo's new spinoff manga magazine Manga Life Storia starting with the magazine's first issue on March 29.
Mizushina drew Kemono to Chat in Manga Club Original from 2005-2011 and Takeshobo published a total of seven compiled book volumes.
Kemono to Chat inspired an original video anime (OVA) adaptation in 2009. Yūji Umoto directed animators at the Usagi.Ou studio, and Maaya Sakamoto, Kana Ueda, and Sayuri Yahagi starred in the OVA. Mizushina not only created the manga but also produced and wrote the anime's theme song. In addition to drawing manga, Mizushina has also been a game tester, a reporter, a stage actor, and a teacher.
