The March issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Friend magazine is announcing on Wednesday that Keiko Suenobu's Limit manga is being adapted into a live-action television project. The story follows what happens to the lives of five high school girls when a bus accident kills the rest of their classmates and leaves them fighting for survival.
Suenobu launched Limit in Bessatsu Friend in October 2009. Kodansha published the sixth and final volume of the manga in December of 2011.
North American publisher Vertical released volume 3 of The Limit series on January 22. Tokyopop published part of Suenobu's earlier Life manga before shutting down its North American publishing operations.
Suenobu's new manga Hope is also launching in the March issue with a premiere chapter of 100 pages.
