Takahata, Ghibli's Kaguya-Hime Now Lists Composer Hisaishi

TOHO's updated poster and website for Isao Takahata's upcoming film Kaguya-hime no Monogatari (The Tale of Princess Kaguya) now lists Joe Hisaishi as the composer instead of Shinichiro Ikebe.
Music management company Tokyo Concerts originally reported on a web page in November that Ikebe (Future Boy Conan, Akira Kurosawa's Kagemusha) would be composing the soundtrack, and TOHO formally announced the film in December with Ikebe in the credits.
The change in the film's composer was made public on Monday, the same day that TOHO announced that Kaguya-hime no Monogatari will be delayed until this fall. Kaguya-hime no Monogatari was scheduled to open in Japan on the same day in the summer as Hayao Miyazaki's Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Is Rising) film.
Hisaishi is also composing Kaze Tachinu, which remains scheduled for summer. He composed most of the films in Miyazaki's long career.
