Uta no Prince-sama Debut Game's Manga Ends in Japan
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The October issue of ASCII Media Works' Monthly comic SYLPH magazine published the final chapter of Utako Yukihiro's Uta no Prince-sama Debut manga on Wednesday. Yukihiro began serializing the manga in February, prior to the May release of the PSP game of the same name.
The story is a sequel to Broccoli's 2010 PSP girl's romance game Uta no Prince-sama, in which a girl goes to a school for the performing arts with budding male idols. The sequel is set one year after the graduation audition win in the previous game.
The game franchise was already adapted into a 13-episode series in 2011. A second season was revealed at the special "Uta no Prince-sama - Maji Love Live! 1000%" event in January, and the new season will premiere next April.
Yukihiro also drew the first game's manga adaptation, which ASCII Media Works compiled into a single volume in December 2010.
