Eyeshield 21 Artist Murata Reveals Magical Girl Work

Manga artist Yūsuke Murata (Eyeshield 21) posted on his Twitter account on Saturday that he is planning a new manga with web manga creator ONE (Onepunchman). The new series will be a magical girl series, and it will involve magical hydraulic cylinder weapons. Murata added that more information about when and where the manga will be serialized will be revealed later.
Murata launched the Donten Prism Solar Car manga with Moonlight Mile creator Yasuo Ohtagaki in 2010 after ending his Eyeshield 21 sports manga with Riichirou Inagaki in 2009.
Viz Media published the 37th and last Eyeshield 21 manga volume in North America in October 2011. Sentai Filmworks began releasing the the series in 2010 after Crunchyroll streamed it in several countries outside Japan.
Update 1/7/2017: The one-shot manga was published in 2012, and the Tonari no Young Jump web magazine published the chapter online on January 6, 2017.
