Aniplex Confirms U.S. Release of Fate/Zero BD Boxes

The anime production company Aniplex of America confirmed on Thursday that it will release the Fate/Zero television anime series on Blu-ray Disc in North America. The first box set, which will contain the first 13 episodes of the series, is slated to be released on March 7, the same day the set will be released in Japan.
The box set will include English subtitles and an English translation booklet for the included Japanese production material booklet. The set will also contain unaired footage from the series. Other extras contained in the set include the series' first original soundtrack and a drama CD written by original novel author Gen Urobuchi.
The boxset is available for pre-order on Right Stuf. The box retails for US$498.98 and Right Stuf is currently offering it for US$369.98.
The Niconico Live and Niconico Channel services are currently simulcasting the series outside of Japan in eight subtitled languages. Crunchyroll is also simulcasting the series outside of Japan.
The anime adapts the prequel novel by Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Phantom - The Animation, Blassreiter) to Type-Moon's Fate/stay night visual novel software. The story is set a decade before Fate/stay night and reveals the 4th Holy Grail War that sets the stage for the war in the software.
Director Ei Aoki (Hourou Musuko, Ga-Rei: Zero, Girls Bravo), the anime studio ufotable, and composer Yuki Kajiura (Madoka Magica, .hack, Kara no Kyoukai) are all involved in this anime.
