Jojo's Spinoff Runs in Women's Fashion Mag

Hirohiko Araki draws manga about Rohan Kishibe character in Florence in Spur

Hirohiko Araki will draw a one-shot spinoff manga about a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure character for the October issue of Shueisha's women's fashion magazine Spur, which will ship on August 23.

The full-color manga will revolve around Rohan Kishibe, a fictional manga creator who appeared in the fourth part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and other Araki works. A few years after his trip to the Louvre in Paris (as chronicled in Araki's Rohan au Louvre manga project), Rohan heads to Florence, Italy with his grandmother's keepsake bag in hand.

This will be Araki's first work in a women's fashion magazine. More details about the manga will be provided in the September issue of Spur on Saturday.

This year, Araki is celebrating his 30th year as a manga creator and the 25th anniversary of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. The eighth part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, JoJolion, launched in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine in May. Viz Media published the 16th manga volume in North America last December, and Super Techno Arts released the original video anime series version until a controversy arose over an image of the Qur'an in the sixth episode.
