Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko Episode Unaired Due to Quake
posted on by Egan Loo
Asako Nishida, the character designer and chief animation director of the ongoing Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko television anime series, confirmed on Thursday that an episode will not air due to the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake (Higashi Nihon Daishinsai) disaster of March 11. According to Nishida, the anime was originally developed for 13 episodes, but only 12 will end up airing.
Nishida also confirmed that the anime's home video release will include the unaired 13th episode, as previously revealed in April by retailers.
Hitoma Iruma's Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko light novel series revolves around an ordinary high school boy named Makoto Niwa (Miyu Irino) and Erio Tōwa (Asuka Ōgame), Makoto's mysterious cousin who thinks she is an alien. The final televised episode airs on Thursday night, and Nishida asks viewers to watch the entire episode from the "cold opening" prologue before the opening animation sequence.
