Broken Blade's 1st 4 Films to Be Streamed in Japanese
posted on by Egan Loo
The Japanese anime distributor Bandai Visual announced on Monday that it will stream the first four parts of the six-part Broken Blade (Break Blade) anime film series for free on Friday. The four parts of the alternate-world robot story will appear on the Ustream website at 7:00 p.m. (5:00 a.m. EST), 8:00 p.m., 9:00 p.m., and 10:00 p.m. The fifth film will open in Japanese theaters just hours later on Saturday.
As the anime's official blog notes, the third and fourth films have opened in Japanese theaters, but they will not ship on Blu-ray Disc and DVD until January 28 and February 25, respectively. However, the stream will give people a chance to rewatch the first four films before going to see the fifth film.
Flex Comix publishes the manga in Japan, while CMX Manga published three manga volumes in North America before DC Comics shut down the imprint this year.
