Japan's Anime Style Print Mag Returns After 11 Years
posted on by Gia Manry
The magazine Anime Style will bring back its print edition starting this May. The magazine launched in 2000, only to fold after only two print issues. However, it moved to an Internet-only format titled Web Anime Style shortly thereafter.
The new monthly print version of the magazine will also include a Nendoroid Petit mini-figure with each issue. The first relaunch issue will feature a figure of Taiga from the series Toradora!, and will spotlight animator Yoshihiko Umakoshi (chief animation director on Casshern Sins, Mushi-Shi). The issue will also have contributions by Mamoru Hosoda (director, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time), Hiroyuki Imaishi (director, Gurren Lagann), Ayumu Watanabe (storyboard, Doraemon), Tetsuya Nishio (key animator, FLCL and character designer, Naruto), and others.
An official page for the re-launch is already online.
