Naruto Shippūden is #5 Show Streamed on Hulu in 2009

Jason Kilar, CEO of the Hulu video-streaming website, lists the top five shows on Hulu for 2009 in a Wednesday blog entry. Naruto Shippūden made the list at #5, after Saturday Night Live, Family Guy, The Office, and The Simpsons. No other Japanese animated title made the list.
In February, the comScore information analysis firm reported in April that the Naruto anime series was #20 among "all shows/all channels" on the Hulu video-streaming website, and the #1 channel on the rival streaming site Joost. Naruto Shippūden also made Google's list of the "Fastest Rising Entertainment (Global)" search terms for 2009, coming in at #4.
Hulu and Joost began streaming the first Naruto anime series in September 2008, and both added Naruto Shippūden in January of this year. Hulu also announced that they had a 95% increase in monthly users, to 43 million, over the past year, and that its video library more than doubled from this time last year — from 5,600 hours of content to more than 14,000 hours of content. Both Naruto anime series are also streaming on Viz Media's Naruto.com site, VizAnime.com, Crunchyroll, and ANN.
