Naruto Makes Yahoo's Top 10 for Search Terms in 2009

On Tuesday, Microsoft, Yahoo! and Google released their lists of the top 10 terms on their online search engines for 2009. "Naruto" made the Yahoo! list at #6, beating out such terms as "American Idol" and "NASCAR."
While no anime-related phrases topped the Google list for "Fastest Rising (Global)," some were among those with the largest surge in the last year. Three anime-related terms were on the top 10 list for "Fastest Rising in Entertainment (Global)": "Transformers" at #2, "Naruto Shippūden" at #4, and "anime online" at #8.
No anime-related terms made Microsoft's Bing search website list. "Michael Jackson" topped the lists on all three search websites.
