V.B. Rose's Hidaka Launches Berry Berry Manga Series
posted on by Egan Loo
V.B. Rose creator Banri Hidaka has launched her Berry Berry manga as a full regular series in this year's 18th issue of Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine on Thursday. The "comedy of miracles" follows two sisters, Kurumi and Sasahime Yukinohara, who have a telepathic bond that only twins share. Hidaka already drew a one-shot Berry Berry manga in the same magazine in May. She had drawn an even earlier three-part mini-series of Berry Berry in 2008. A short preview of the current manga installment is available online.
Hidaka just ended V.B. Rose in the same Hana to Yume magazine in February, while Tokyopop is scheduled to publish the sixth volume of V.B. Rose in North America next month. CMX Manga has also been releasing Hidaka's I Hate You More than Anyone and Tears of a Lamb manga.
In the same issue of Hana to Yume, Kou Matsuzuki has ended her Shiawase Kissa 3-chōme romance manga. Tokyopop is launching the manga next January under the name Happy Cafe. Tachibana Higuchi is resuming her Gakuen Alice school comedy manga in the next issue on September 5, and Tokyopop will publish the ninth volume of this manga next month.
