Aya Hirano, Satomi Satou Play Roles in Dragon Ball Kai (Updated)

The official website for the Dragon Ball Kai action anime series has announced on Monday that voice actresses Aya Hirano (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya) and Satomi Satou (K-ON!) will play the Namekian alien brothers Dende and Cargo. Both characters appeared in Akira Toriyama's original Dragon Ball manga and the Dragon Ball Z anime before Toei Animation remastered selected Dragon Ball Z episodes for the ongoing Dragon Ball Kai television run. Tomiko Suzuki, the original voice actress for both Dende and Cargo, passed away in 2003.
The website had already announced last Monday that Eiji Takemoto, Hiroaki Miura, and Takashi Nagasako will replace the original actors for the characters Cui (Naoki Imamura), Zarbon (Shō Hayami), and Dodoria (Yukitoshi Hori), respectively.

Update: Kōji Totani originally played Cui until Totani's death in 2006, and Naoki Imamura was his first replacement for the games that followed. Thanks, Fergie260.
